Hi,

I am trying to build latest mxe master, it fails for me on gcc target with
assembler errors.
Did you observe such problem? Do you have an idea what can be the cause?

/tmp/cc1w574H.s: Assembler messages:
/tmp/cc1w574H.s:6: Warning: .type pseudo-op used outside of .def/.endef
ignored.
/tmp/cc1w574H.s:6: Error: junk at end of line, first unrecognized character
is `p'

The host I am using is an archlinux inside docker if it matters. Also
attached the full log.

Thanks for any pointers in advance,

Robert

I haven’t seen this issue but it’s hard to get the same environment using
gcc7 to build gcc6. Similar issues can be caused by either some sort of
hardened kernel/enhanced security or having another toolchain in your $PATH.

Can you build a native version of gcc6?

Cheers,

Tony
